Manufactured 1949, chambered in .22 Short with a triangular Gallery pattern magazine loading port. Engraved and signed by Master Engraver John Kusmit, father of Nick Kusmit, with profuse scrolls and foliate surrounding gold inlaid French Grey game scenes of climbing squirrels in a forest scene and a similar vignette of gold inlaid Rabbits in a field setting. Single gold line borders with scroll and foliate engraved tangs, bolt, chamber, and muzzle. Gold embellished screws, magazine tip, barrel bands and trigger. Engravers signature "JK" found on underside of receiver. Oil finished, masterfully checkered and carved straight stock with factory buttplate is carved in the Germanic oak leaf and acorn pattern. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with excellent bright bore and most all custom finish remaining. Mechanically excellent and stocks are superb with little or no handling evident.
