Bead front sight on a slightly elevated machine matted rib with pop up rifle sight controlled by a tang mounted selector. Milled out section of rib with "8x57 JR" caliber designation, Krupp Laufstahl steel designation on barrels along with J.P Sauer and Sohn, Suhl, double line engraving at breech, relieved for sideclips. Sling swivel on island soldered to rifle barrel, underside of barrels with German diagnostic proofs. Splinter forend with point pattern checkering and Deely release. Release case colored and engraved with florals. Case colored scalloped boxlock action with light scroll engraving and simple line engraving. Double triggers, with front set for rifle fire. Sidepanels coming to a point with left side mounted safety and a masterfully executed reinforcement that runs through to other sidepanel. Prince of Wales grip with two panels of point pattern checkering, pancake checkpiece, horn buttplate with Sauer double S. CONDITION: Fine as restored. Barrels retain virtually all of their reapplied black with some very light pitting under the black visible towards muzzle. Boxlock receiver retain virtually all of their reapplied case colors, again with some light pitting visible throughout the receiver. Wood has been carefully rehabilitated as well with well executed repair at sidepanel. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, bores are very good, bright and shiny with some spotting near breech, rifle barrel with more even spotting throughout with sharp lands and grooves.
