Even as Allied forces pushed into Germany in 1945, production of the K43 continued into April with various time and resource saving production measures. This late example was made in the second to last production block and has late features. Unthreaded barrel marked on the underside stamped with "ac' manufacture mark. As is seen on other late war examples, the front sight was left unfinished with blued hood. Crudely forged double guide rail receiver stamped with WaA359 proof, "K43" designation and "ac / 45" code. Replacement non matching bolt carrier with hold open latch. Stamped dust cover. Red glue laminate stock and hand guard, correctly unnumbered. K43 magazine marked "gcb". Complete with leather sling. CONDITION: Good. Rifle retains the majority of its factory finishes with areas drifting to gray patina. Magazine retains approximately 25% of its painted finish. Stock has some scattered nicks and impressions but is otherwise solid. Very good, well defined bore. Fine mechanics. Sling shows some dryness and age.
