A) Standard Type 38 Carbine, 6.5mm cal, 19" barrel, Serial No. 4724. This example has the two-piece butt stock, Tokyo Arsenal, The mum has been ground, proper sights, canvas sling, has original dust cover, polished bolt, original bayonet with metal scabbard, leather frog, stock is excellent, original blue is thinning.B) It is a Type 99, 7.7mm cal, barrel length 25-1/2", Serial No. 3732. Osaka Arsenal, standard military rifle, has the complete mum, no dust cover, rear sight has aircraft wings, metal is blue-brown patina, stock is excellent with usual minor dings, comes with bayonet with wooden sheath. Nice pair of original Japanese WWII rifles.
