Lot consists of: (A) French/Turkish 1907-15 Berthier Forestry bolt action carbine. Reportedly made from captured Vichy French reserves, these were reconfigured to handy carbines around 1948 for use by the Turkish forest guards. "ST. Etienne MLE-1907-15" marked on the left side of the receiver. Ball "N" marked barrel with "T.C./ORMAN/1948" on top of the receiver. Turkish applied serial number matches the bolts, "2711". Original French serial numbers do not match. No visible import mark. Rear tangent sight is loose. Includes original style sling. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with mild wear and handling marks. Stock is good overall with minor wear, scratches and a few minor gouges. Lightly frosted bore with crisp rifling left. Mechanically fine. Sling is fair. (B) French Berthier M16 bolt action carbine. "Chatellerault MLE M.16" marked on the left of the receiver. Top of the receiver is ball "N" marked. Barrel and bolt are matching. Stock and trigger guard do not match. No visible import mark. Stock has an arsenal repaired on the top of the comb and filled clearing rod hole. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with mild wear and handling marks. Stock is very good with mild wear and handling marks. Lightly frosted bore with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. (C) French 1907-15 Berthier carbine. Marked "ET ts Continsouza MLE 1907-15" on the left side of the receiver. Barrel is marked "MAC 1917" on the right side. Standard 1907-15 style carbine with no hand guard. Clearing rod is absent. Barrel, bolt body and trigger group are matching. Stock and font bolt lug are not matching. No import mark. Stock has been sanded, light acceptance mark on the right side is illegible. Rear sling swivel is absent. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with mild wear and areas of patina. Some light pitting on the butt plate. Stock is fair with numerous dings, scratches and gouges. Lightly frosted bore with sharp rifling and a small ring 2" in from the muzzle. Mechanically fine. JWA
