Lot consists of a Polish M44 carbine and a Tula 91/30 bolt action rifle. (A) M44 manufactured by Poland in 1954. The left side of the receiver is import stamped "CDI SWAN. VT MOD.44 7.62X54R MADE IN POLAND". Top of the receiver retains the oval "11" code. Receiver, bolt, barrel, barrel bands, and stock exhibit various Polish proofs. Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, floorplate, and buttplate. Complete with canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their arsenal applied finish, showing some wear all around with thinning present on the barrel bands. Bright mirror bore with strong rifling throughout. Stock is excellent, showing few minor nicks and indentations. (B) Hex receiver 91/30 manufactured by Tula in 1931. Right side of barrel is C.A.I. import stamped. This rifle is most likely an importer assembled PU sniper. Scope and mount are of reproduction. Left side of the barrel shank is stamped with the Finnish Army "SA" property mark. Matching numbers include the receiver, barrel, magazine floorplate, and buttplate. Complete with leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain some of their arsenal applied finish, but appear to have been subject to a chemical application that has left extensive spotting. Dark bore with good rifling throughout. Stock shows many scattered dings and handling marks. MLW
