Factory letter states this gun was shipped on January 31st, 1938 to Cook Sporting Goods Co. of Denver, Colorado. These were shipped with 5" barrel, blue finish, humpback hammer, and checkered walnut grips. This shipment was for 12 identical guns sent to the Denver Police Department. Matching serial number on cylinder and barrel, while right grip panel is numbered 45549. While shipped to Denver Police Department, the revolver is not marked as such. Revolver was introduced in 1930 as a double action, five screw N frame. The cylinder has high edge wear and drag line. Balance retains about 85% original factory blue with high edge wear and sharp legends. Some brilliant colors on trigger and hammer. Grips are very good with wear. Indexes fine and has a strong bore.
