Type II double derringer manufactured circa 1888-1911 with "REMINGTON ARMS CO." address. Finished in nickel plate with nitre blued hammer, spur trigger, and other small parts. Integral sights. 2-piece checkered hard rubber bird's head grips. The left panel has an "X" carved in it. Gun is accompanied by a later pocket holster with clip. CONDITION: Fine. Retains the vast majority of its original nickel plating with areas of flaking to brown patina. Strong traces of nitre blue displayed on small parts. Strong bore with some black powder abrasion. Crisp mechanics. Used in derringer articles written for Guns & Ammo by Phil Spangenberger.
