This scarce pre-War rifle was made in 1938. The octagon barrel was a special order available only before the war. It is also in a scarce caliber for this model, the .22 WRF. Features a 24" octagon barrel, tube magazine, blue finish, takedown, sporting sights, flat bottom grooved walnut forend with plain pistol grip stock, and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Solid 85-90% original factory blue finish with high edge wear and some handling marks. Wood is excellent with usual handling marks. There is a cross etched into the right side of stock with some small brads. Action is fine and bore is crisp. Nice pre-War rifle.
