(C) SEMI-DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 95 .405 LEVER ACTION RIFLE (1926).
Circa 1926. Blued nickel steel tapered round barrel with sporting sights. Blued solid frame with "MODEL 95" tang marking. Scarce I-pattern checkered walnut splinter forend with inlaid Schnabel tip. Checkered straight grip stock with checkered steel widow's peak shotgun buttplate. No assembly numbers present on tang or in stock channel. CONDITION: Very good. Bountiful amounts of bright factory blue is displayed on the barrel with areas of cleaned oxidation spotting and wear. Frame retains significant portions of blue fading to patina with some oxidation spotting. Stocks are good with scattered impressions and abrasions. Good, well defined bore with frosting throughout. Fine mechanics.
