Rare Smith & Wesson Airweight Aircrewman Pre-Model 13 .38 Special revolver with rare all alloy cylinder. K- Frame round butt delight with 4 screw frame. 2 piece checkered walnut grips with Smith & Wesson medallions. Barrel finished blue while frame and cylinder are anodized black. Flat latch opening with case colored hammer and trigger. Back strap id factory marked "PROPERTY OF U.S. AIR FORCE". Left side of top strap factory marked " REVOLVER LIGHT WEIGHT M13", These air weight revolvers were short lived with the improper use of high pressure ammunition damaging their fragile all alloy cylinders. This example remains original with the numbers matching alloy cylinder. CONDITION: Very good with over 75% original anodized finish remaining remaining, The frame retains over 80% finish. Bore and chambers are excellent. Grips are very fine. Mechanically excellent.
