Smith & Wesson brought back the .357 Magnum in 1948, but it was not marked as a Model 27 until 1957. It has all matching numbers to include the right grip panel. It is built on the square butt N-frame with five screws, pinned barrel, and recessed chambers. Features post-War high polish blue finish, finely checkered top strap, Baughman style front sight, adjustable rear sight, case color hammer and trigger, and post-War checkered S&W walnut magna grips. CONDITION: Excellent. This revolver shows holster wear along all high edges, a light drag line, and muzzle wear but still sports at least 85-90% blue. Grips are excellent. Case colors are brilliant. Action is smooth with a bright bore. Very desirable gun with the short barrel.
