Custom heavy target rifle made by J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company circa 1915 and customized by unknown gunsmith. 23 - 1/2" heavy blued round barrel with Lyman scope blocks, fitted with Mossberg scope, and additionally drilled and plugged for side mounting scope. Case hardened 44 - 1/2 action with plain trigger and gunsmith extended operating lever with "FISH" marking on left. Custom marksman dished cheekpiece plain pistol grip buttstock with hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Marksman style beavertail walnut forearm with sling swivel and leather carrying strap. CONDITION: 95% blue with 10% case colors turning to a brown patina. Original hand rubbed varnish with some small handling dings and marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. Optics are cloudy. DLM
