(C) SUPERB WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION SADDLE RING CARBINE
Outstanding Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with post mounted blade front sight and ladder adjustable carbine rear sight. Traditional 2 line barrel address with chamber marked "32 W.S.". Blue finished metal with correct varnished smooth gumwood stocks and smooth curved carbine buttplate. Saddle ring and stud on left side of receiver. Manufactured 1917. The very limited WWI production makes these rifle extremely uncommon and the use of gumwood for stocks due to the walnut shortage due to the WW1 makes these .32 Special carbines both extremely uncommon and rarely encountered in excellent condition. CONDITION: Extremely fine with barrel and tube retaining over 98% blue finish. Receiver has light flaking on right side but remains at over 95%. The wood is superb with only some very light impression. Bore is brilliant with sharp rifling. Mechanically excellent.
