The Swiss DWM Model 1900 Luger is historically significant as the very first military adoption of the Luger pistol, formally accepted in May 1900. Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM), it is chambered in 7.65 mm Parabellum (.30 Luger) and features an automatic grip safety, twin flat mainsprings, a dished toggle with a toggle lock, and a distinctive Swiss cross-in-sunburst crest. Features include deep blue finish contrasted with straw-colored small parts. The very first serialized batch (Serial Nos. 2000–5000) included both Swiss military orders and commercial models. The wood base magazine is correctly unnumbered. The grips are checkered walnut. CONDITION: The all matching numbered pistol has light handling mid barrel. The grip straps are starting to thin, particularly at the heel. Small areas of mottling are present in the front grip strap area. The straw colors are lightly muted. Mechanically fine, bore excellent with strong, bright rifling.
