Standard production gun with a 39 inch barrel. 1918 dated receiver. All matching numbers throughout. Proper tubular bipod. These are certainly impressive looking guns. Approximately 16,500 of these were produced just prior to the end of WWI. Single shot. Made by Mauser. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing patina overall with 60% original blue on barrel, having thinned. Receivers were finished in the white. All markings in metal are sharp and clear. Trigger guard has been lightly cleaned some time ago and has minor pitting. Stock has been lightly refinished, markings are weak. Stock has dings and scratches as to be expected on a gun of this age, weight and size. No cracks. Some minor chipping at edges of butt. Bore is fine with sharp strong rifling. Fine mechanical function.
