(C) TOKYO ARSENAL GRANDPA NAMBU 8MM NAMBU SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH STOCK/HOLSTER

This is an outstanding and highly desirable early-production Japanese Type A “Grand Papa” Nambu semi-automatic pistol, serial number 2041, manufactured at the Tokyo Artillery Arsenal (Koishikawa) in the pre–Russo-Japanese War era, circa 1904–1907. This example is of particular collector significance as a fully matching rig, with the serial number correctly applied to the frame, barrel extension, internal components, original shoulder stock iron, and accompanying magazines—an increasingly scarce and sought-after configuration. The pistol retains its original high-polish blue finish with honest service wear, exhibiting the refined machining and craftsmanship characteristic of early Nambu production. Markings are crisp, including the Kanji (Nambu Type) designation and correct arsenal/inspection stamps, with no evidence of refinishing or alteration. Additionally, the barrel is properly property marked with the correct Siamese marking, further enhancing the historical interest and authenticity of this example. The included wooden shoulder stock/holster is original and matching, complete with correct hardware and hinge, showing age-appropriate wear and retaining excellent structural integrity.
