Manufactured 1943 by Union Switch & Signal. Model 1911-A1 .45 acp pistol inspected RCD ( Lt, Col. R.C. Downie). Light Du-Lite finish with 2 piece brown Keyes grips. Checkered safety and checkered slide stop. Narrow checkered hammer. HS (High Standard) made barrel. Slide with US&S monogram on left side with "P" proof on top of side forward of rear sight. Slide is marked with BV over Crown British proof indicating British acceptance for Lend Lease program. Short stamped checkered trigger with checkered arched mainspring housing. Long spur grip safety. CONDITION: Very fine and correct with thinning parkerized finish from honest period use. Brilliant bore and mechanically fine.
