(C) US SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1903 .30-06 SPRINGFIELD BOLT ACTION RIFLE.
The barrel on this example is dated SA 8-18. The serial number corresponds with this date. This rifle was arsenal overhauled. C stock with A1 pistol grip. The sight grooved handguard is post-1919. Stock has two reinforcement bolts. Features all milled parts, smooth buttplate with trap, early dark parkerized arsenal finish, a post-1942 2700 year rear sight and early brass frog sling. CONDITION: Excellent as rebuilt. Metal retains the majority of its reapplied finish showing minimal handling marks. Stock is excellent with sundry dings and impressions. Mechanically sound. ME reading is 0. TE reading is 1. Bore is well defined but shows some frosting.
