Shipped April 17, 1911 to Drake Hardware Company of Burlington, Iowa. Pistol features desirable early high polished blue finish with brilliant nitre blue small parts. Classic configuration with bushing-less 3 - 3/4" barrel, half moon front sight, drift adjustable u-notch rear, and scallop pattern checkered "COLT" hard rubber grips. Blued magazine is unmarked. Accompanied by a factory paperwork and maroon box marked on the underside in grease pencil with the matching serial number. An included 2018 factory letter addressed to Dick Burdick confirms configuration. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Bountiful amounts of factory blue are displayed throughout with some light muzzle wear, freckles, and scattered marks. Nitre blue is especially strong. Grips have excellent detail. Excellent mirror bore, possibly unfired. Fine mechanics. Box has some expected moderate edgewear and corner separation. but is good overall. A very nice example.
