(C) WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE
Dates to 1899. Standard rifle with round barrel, full length magazine tube, dovetailed front sight, replacement semi-buckhorn rear sight of proper style, blue finish, walnut stock, and rifle buttplate with trap and matching forearm. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Frame is basically a smooth patina with flashes of blue and strong bright blue on gate. Barrel and tube are also a smooth patina with sharp legends. Stock is solid, freshened up at one time exhibiting nominal impressions and dents. Mechanically sound with a strong but lightly frosted bore. There is an added hole in the fore-end tip.
