Seldom seen rifle. The Winchester Model 55 is a single-shot semi-automatic sporting rifle only produced from 1958 to 1961 and was Winchester's first attempt at a self-ejecting single-shot rifle. Features blue finish, dovetailed bead front sight, flat top rear sight, and plain walnut stock with pistol grip and a black Winchester butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains nearly all the blue finish. Stock shows scattered dings and spots of finish loss. Bore is well-defined but frosted. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
