(C) WINCHESTER MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH 6MM-284 APEX IMPERIAL BARREL.
Apex Imperial barrel marked "6MM 284" on left side of shank, "APEX / IMPERIAL" on right, no provisions for iron sights, and a recessed crown. Winchester Model 70 action with "WINCHESTER" visible above stock line, PW proof still visible at left side of fore ring, and two drilled, tapped, and filled holes offset at rear left for aperture sight. Mounted with a Redfield scope based fit with a 4-12x scope with a peep crosshair reticle. Fabulous walnut stock, darkly veined with a wild grain, with contrasting forearm tip, modified wave pattern checkering with fleur de lis intrusions, skeleton pistol grip and buttplate, cheekpiece with fluted nose and edge that flows gracefully into wrist. Leather sling on QD bows affixed to studs at toe line and forearm. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the custom finishes with some rubs to silver at barrel, and scattered handling marks to stock, heavier to butt, some silvering at buttplate. Mechanically fine, bore with strong rifling and moderate frosting. Scope clear but adjustments are very stiff.
