(M) ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL ARCTIC WARFARE 7.62X51MM BOLT ACTION RIFLE.
The Accuracy International rifles are one of the most iconic precision weapon systems of all time, and have been a mainstay in that category ever since the 1985 British Sniper Rifle trials, where their innovative use of a chassis system over a traditional stock helped secure their win. This example circa 2007 per date code. Clamp-on two chamber muzzle brake on heavy profile barrel, numbered "28927" across top (not unusual, as barrels were not numbered with actions) with British nitro proof on right side of shank. Accuracy International action with AINA import mark on left side matching serial numbers on bolt, bolthead, and receiver. AT AICS 1.5 fixed stock with adjustable cheekpiece and more contemporary AI replacement skin. The original olive skin is also included. Mounted with a Schmidt & Bender PM II 4-16x50mm FFP scope with P4FL reticle, non-illuminated. With packing foam cut for the rifle. CONDITION: Very good with evidence of range use, mostly in the form of scuffing to the stock with other scattered handling marks and rubs throughout. Mechanically fine, bore excellent with strong rifling. Scope is clear and throws smoothly. Foam with some age discoloration. AI rifles are renowned the world over, and the Arctic Warfare was their flagship for a very long time.
