A very nice sidelock shotgun built with 30" barrels. Blacked steel barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors, solid side rib, and a matted and ventilated top rib with a round white front bead sight and a gold "2" near the breech. Left side of the top barrel reads "A-10 AMERICAN 28 GAUGE 2 3/4". Right side of the top barrel reads CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO. NEW BRITAIN, CT U.S.A" Barrels are fit with interchangeable choke tubes and have bright bores. The 4 pin action is adorned with a traditional case color finish and is engraved with Rose & Scroll style engraving. Lockplates are engraved with "A-10" in banner. The engraved trigger guard protects the gun's gold washed single inertia trigger - adjustable for finger length and extends to an engraved long bottom tang. Non-auto safe slide safety with barrel selector and "SAFE" engraved on top tang. The action's top lever is checkered on both sides. The caramel color and nicely figured walnut stock has a finely checkered Prince of Wales grip with an engraved steel grip cap, silver oval initial plate currently engraved "Dave", and a checkered butt with engraved steel heel and toe plates. The target forend has matching engraving on fore-end metal and a Deeley style release. This nice gun is housed in a black canvas-covered leather maker's case which contains an owners manual in a black leather bound Galazan folio, spare choke tubes, choke wrench and cleaning cloth. CONDITION: Barrels retain 99% blue and are bright. The frame and locks are excellent. Stock and fore-end are excellent with minor storage marks. The trigger is crisp and ejectors are timed well.
