Quality take down magazine fed bolt action sporting rifle built by Sauer of West Germany from 1984 to 1993. This example is chambered in the mild .243 Winchester cartridge with an easily swapped polish blued 18 - 1/2" tapered round barrel. No factory iron sight provisions. Rifle is currently mounted with a Bushnell 1.5-6X Lite-Site. Stocked in European walnut with a checkered pistol grip butt with Sauer recoil pad and matching forend. Rifle is currently housed in a very attractive custom French fitted take down case built from figured walnut with an imitation leather cover and takedown tools. CONDITION: Near excellent. Action retains nearly all of its factory matte black finish with the bolt handle drifting to plum. The barrel likewise retains nearly all of its bright blue finish showing some light marks and wear. Barrel appears to be a factory replacement perhaps to change the rifle's caliber, with non matching serial number. Stocks are excellent showing only a couple handling marks. Very fine sharp, bright bore. Optic is clear but the lighted function was not tested. A great set! BAS
