(M) EDM ARMS XM04 .408 WINDRUNNER BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH PLETHORA OF RELOADING SUPPLIES.
The EDM Arms Windrunner was designed as a precision rifle that could be broken down and stored in under a minute. The XM04 in particular was scaled to .408 Chey-Tac, and initial designs were a joint venture between EDM and Chey-Tac, but they split ways and marketed their own designs, the EDM as a the XM04, and CheyTac as the M200. Designed without a forearm allowing for easy access to the barrel QD lug. This example with a heavy profile fluted barrel fit with a 4 port compensator, flat foot bipod on a spigot mount, Windrunner marked action (note low serial number, 004!), and telescoping stock with cheekpiece. Fit with a US Optics 3.8-22x SN9-2B scope with FFP mil-dot reticle. Accompanied by a wide selection of reloading accessories including 3 gallon ziplock bags of brass, RockChucker style single stage press with dies, including decapping and bullet seating dies, and a large selection of bullets including 2 boxes of Rocky Mount Bullets .408 CheryTac Match Hunting, 420 grain bullets, one open, one sealed, total approximately 60 rounds; two boxes Rocky Mountain Bullets 420 grain Match - Ultra low drag, approximately 200 rounds; approximately 150 rounds 419 Grain Match, unmarked as to manufacturer; CaseGard of mixed brass with 20 loaded rounds that must be considered components only, 12 unprimed cases and 17 primed cases with mixed primers. spare magazine. CONDITION: Very good as used with the vast majority oft the original finish with scattered handling marks and rubs throughout, some silvering. Adhesive to pad with some deterioration to edges. Mechanically fine, glass throws smoothly, bore with strong rifling and moderate frosting. Accessories with some discoloration and mottling consistent with sitting in long term storage. .408 CheyTac is a great long range round, and saw service overseas as an extreme long range, until supplanted by the .338 Lapua Magnum.
