Shoe lump barrels fit with a brass bead front sight dovetailed vertically into island sweated to muzzle with flip-up moon sight and smooth ramp. Half length rib with rounded point, matted across the top with an open vignette that reads "PAUL JAEGER INC. GRAND JUNCTION, TN", and fit with an express rear sight with four leaves, one standing and three folding, with folding leaves marked "50", "100", and "150" respectively, standing leaf unmarked. Breeches decorated with dot-and-linework engraving and gold wirework that extends down the edges of the barrel flats, with rib extension engraved with florals and pierced for a Greener style crossbolt. Tubes marked ahead of the barrel flats with German nitro proof and Munich shield proof. Barrel flat with German proof, Munich shield proof, "2IG" for 2006, "470 N.E." and serial number. Low profile beavertail forearm with a Deely style latch release engraved with light acanthus scroll and linework. Checkered in two panels of modified point pattern checkering. Boxlock action engraved with acanthus scrollwork and linework edges, recoil shields decorated with heart-and-dart motifs, underside with "FREDRICH WILH. HEYM" in open ribbon. Action flats with serial number and nitro proof. Gold washed double triggers, non-automatic safety with "S" ahead of slide. Break action lever flanked by brass firing pin indicators. Long strap trigger guard engraved on bow en suite, with strap running all the to pistol grip cap. Restrained walnut stock with elongated sidepanels, two panels of point pattern checkering at the wrist, stud with eye on toeline, shadowline cheekpiece, fluted nose, and Kick-Eez recoil pad. Housed in Heym branded blue plastic case. CONDITION: Very good as refreshed in the sporting tradition. Barrels with virtually all of their finish with some scattered handling marks and rubs, some mottling towards muzzles and silvering where forearm touches barrels, some pockmarks under blue near right tip of rib. Stocks very good with a very minor sliver missing on left side of forearm, evidence of small sliver repair towards fang. Action very good with some surface mottling and handling marks. Stock with some scattered handling marks and impressions. Mechanically fine, bores with strong rifling and some firing residue. A well handling double rifle in one of the all-time-classic dangerous game chamberings.
