(M) JOHN BOLLINGER .338 RUM BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH SWAROVSKI GLASS.
John Bollinger is a highly respected name in the custom rifle world and his pieces are excellent. Built with a fluted barrel marked "Three Thirty Eight / Remington Ultra" on left side of shank and "John Bollinger / Riflemaker" on right. Winchester Model 70 action as customized by Bollinger with a a jeweled bolt and magazine follower, five-panel checkered bolt accented with geometric inserts, three position safety, and a Swarovski 2.5-15x44 scope with SFP BR reticle. Outstanding darkly veined and richly figured deluxe Turkish walnut stock with fleur-de-lis pattern checkering at the forearm and right-side-palm-swell pistol grip, with contrasting rosewood forearm cap, skeletonized pistol grip cap, Decelerator black rubber recoil pad, sling studs on islands at forearm and toe line, and dual reinforcement bolts below the action. Shadowline cheekpiece with a fluted nose that runs gracefully into pistol grip. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the custom blacked finish with some extremely minor handling marks. Stocks commensurate with some very minor marks from handling and storage. Mechanically fine, bore excellent with strong rifling and some minor firing residue. Glass is clear and throws smoothly. A fabulous rifle in a versatile caliber.
