The rarest of the Colt snake guns, just 1,200 were made in a single production run in 1985 for Lew Horton, 100 as cased sets, and 500 of each barrel length. Finished in classic polished royal blue with matted, ventilated barrel rib. Red insert ramped front sight and adjustable square notch rear. Barrel has "BOA .357 / .357 MAGNUM CTG" on the left side and Colt address on the right. 2-piece checkered rosewood grips with rampant Colt medallions. Gun is accompanied by the matching Colt woodgrain box with factory paperwork. End label glue has let loose, although the matching label is included with this lot. CONDITION: Excellent. Virtually all of the brilliant factory blue is retained with a turn line and some very minor handling marks. Grips have a few small marks around the edge of the butt. Bright bore with some mild frosting in the grooves. Fine mechanics. Box has some wear and separation with the end flap detached. A fine example of a very desirable and hard to find snake gun.
