Mono-bloc barrels fit with WinChokes, top barrel is currently fit with a Modified choke, bottom with Improved Cylinder. Vent rib fit with a Bradley style white composite bead and a white mid bead. Machine matted rib with a milled vignette marked "QUAIL SPECIAL". Right side of top barrel marked "MADE IN JAPAN", left with Grand National Featherweight legend, 20 gauge designation, and 3" chamber length. Tubes discretely marked "QUAIL 2" on top barrel, "QUAIL 1" on bottom , both with PW proof marks. Mid rib vented for weight reduction. Very slightly Schnabeled game style forearm with finger recesses, checkered in a modified point pattern with a fleur de lis intrusion at top panel. Deely style latch release engraved with acanthus scroll and floral borderwork. Interior iron marked "82". Boxlock action engraved with scrollwork and floral borders en suite, with game scene vignettes on each side. Left side with an alerting pointed on a pair of quail who are mid rise, right side with a pair of quail flying through a field, underside with a single quail in a roundel engraved about the perimeter "GRAND NATIONAL QUAIL CLUB". Gold washed single selective mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety as befits a bird gun, marked with an "S" ahead of tab, and "Q1" and "Q2" selector positions. Walnut stock with some light fiddleback and a wave grain is checkered at the sidepanels and about the English straight grip with a fleur de lis intrusion at sidepanels. Winchester black rubber recoil pad. Housed in a leather edged and canvas wrapped was with repeating "WINCHESTER" in canvas. Interior lined in red felt compartmentalized for gun when broken down and a small compartment for accessories, currently with keys, WinChoke tool, and two more chokes for Full and Skeet. CONDITION: Very good with evidence of field use throughout, including scattered handling marks and rubs. Stocks very good, en suite, with a few abrasions to heads. Mechanically fine, bores with firing residue, ejectors are in time but soft. Case very good with some rubs to wood base.
