Incredible and magnificent mint unfired gold M-2 limited edition American 180 Machine Gun Ensemble, as originally special ordered by the consignor from the factory and delivered over 35 years ago. This gold limited edition exhibits the very highest level of craftmanship, fit, and finish which could be achieved and was intended for only most discerning and well-heeled collectors. These guns, with their silencers had the lowest factory serial numbers, and no effort nor expense was spared to use the finest wood and finishing techniques. Included in its own original factory display case this highly polished gold plated M-2 American 180 with horizontal fore-end 17” barrel includes an additional vertical foregrip 10” barrel, and special 17 ¾” long barrel fitted with a Laser-Lok sight. The flash hiders of both the spare barrels unscrew to allow the one silencer included to be screwed on. One 177 round magazine is also included, as is one detachable buttstock. All visible metal parts are gold plated and catch the light with magnificent brilliance. The case is no less a thing of beauty and exhibits an image of a large flying eagle on the cover above the words, “AMERICAN 180 / LIMITED EDITION” (Followed by gun serial number “#00”. Copies of original instruction manual, and promotional brochure are also included with this lot. Both wall and “lighter” plug-in chargers for the Laser-Lok sight are included in this lot. E & L loading tray and loading instructions also included with this lot. Note that the silencer is a second NFA item (SN S00) included in this lot and there will be two $200.00 NFA transfer fees if this gun and silencer are transferred on an ATF form 4’s. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is absolutely mint, unfired, with high lusterous original finish throughout. Wooden case near mint with just the slightest errant handling mark discernable only after over 30 seconds close inspection. Gun is unfired; bolt not withdrawn to inspect condition of bore. This is a select-fire machine gun. One of the most magnificent American 180 machine guns ever produced. Impossible to upgrade the condition or attractiveness of this fantastic piece. An item of beauty and a significant piece of American machine gun production history. This is one of two consecutively numbered specimens being offered in this auction.
