Always desirable M3A1 “Grease Gun” manufactured by the General Motors Guide Lamp Division and registered by Inter American. Metal components have been refinished, retaining a pleasant green parkerized finish. The left side of the receiver is marked “SUB MACH GUN/ CAL 45 M3A1” above the U.S. Guide Lamp trademark and U.S. Ordnance stamp. “P” firing proofs present on the barrel nut and right side of receiver, beneath the front sight. Rear of bolt is marked with an assembly number above “SSG” for Saginaw Steering Division (which is also present on the rear of the barrel nut), and “C 13 5”. Bottom of barrel bears Inter American marking from time of registration. Features include a blade front sight, fixed aperture rear sight, M3A1 style magazine release guard, and a collapsible wire stock. Complete with 1 blued magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied parkerized finish, exhibiting a few minor areas of wear that lightly show through to silvering, as well as a concentrated area area of brown discoloration on the right hand side beneath the ejection port. Some stamps are soft, but are legible. Barrel shows some minor superficial handling marks, but is otherwise fine. Bore is good, showing some pitting and retaining good rifling throughout. The M3A1 “Grease Gun” is a desirable and collectable machine gun. With great controllability and accuracy due to its slow rate of fire, this would make for an excellent gun for an FFL/SOT holder who wishes to bring it to the range, and can be kept after they relinquish their license subject to BATF approval. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PROPER TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALER ONLY. -MLW-
