Sterling was manufacturing their 9mm submachine guns in England, Spain took a look at what Britain was doing and manufactured their own variation. At first glance they might look the same, but they are actually quite different. Virtually none of the parts interchange. Barrels at muzzle are different. No bayonet lug on the C-2. There is a sling ring to the left of the front sight. Construction of the magazine housing is different with a different mag catch and ejector. Charging handle is completely different which does not allow foreign matter into the receiver when the bolt is closed. Internally the firing pin within the bolt has a lever which actuates the firing pin only when the bolt is properly in battery. Top of magazine housing is simply marked, “C2” followed by serial number. Rear sights, folding stock and selector marked, “S, T, R” are all different form its British counterpart. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original factory black pebble finish. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Exceptional rare model to find available here in the United States, and this one is in outstanding condition. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS MACHINE GUN IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL.
