Extremely fine condition Richard M. Davis registered sideplate Browning 1919A4 machine gun with professionally applied “BROWNING MACHINE GUN” markings on right sideplate. This is a very nicely built Browning with U.S. marked rear sight, and unmarked bolt. An attractive set of Landies manufactured wood grip spade handles are currently in place on this gun with original all metal pistol grip backplate also included. Additional accessories include a nicely fitted contemporary transit chest with spare barrel, 2 cloth belts, approximately 100 metal links, stripped spare top cover, spare barrel extension with stripped “7.62” marked bolt, and 2 plastic bags containing useful spare parts including the parts for the top cover, 2 mainsprings, firing pin, accelerator, and bolt pins, and buffer disks. Also includes a World War II low mount M2 tripod. Traverse and elevation mechanism and front mounting stirrup present. NFA electronic registry indicates “FORM 2 REGISTRATION” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent smooth grey finish as applied upon remanufacture. Mechanics are extremely fine and smooth. Bores of both barrels are near excellent, mirror bright. Bolt in gun is extremely fine, and 7.62 bolt is near excellent. There is some light pitting at the top of the steel trunnion within the feedway but this will not affect serviceability. Tripod is extremely fine with attractive green paint coverage and World War II data plate present on front leg. This is a full-automatic only machine gun. These Browning machine guns are always popular at the range and this one presents very well indeed. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2021-11-067
