This is a combination of a World War II (1944) New England manufactured set of BAR parts with World War I style wood furnishing on a Group Industries fully transferable receiver. Flaming bomb arsenal mark with NE (New England) and 11-44 date is discernible on top of barrel. Top of receiver has standard Group Industries markings and serial number. This weapon has an original bipod, with attractive refinished checkered wooden forend, and refinished wooden buttstock. It includes 1 original 20 round magazine. The BAR was an important component of portable firepower within the American infantry squad during World War II. It was highly effective when engaging the enemy. NFA Electronic registry indicates "BROWN, MICHAEL DBA GROUP INDUSTRIE" in the manufacturer's block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent gray parkerized refinish with extremely attractive wood furnishings. Bore is extremely fine, shiny & bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. The Browning automatic rifle is one of the most popular machine guns out on the range, and this one will no doubt bring a lot of enjoyment to the new owner. This gun presents very well indeed! THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2023-9-43
