Exceptionally rare as a fully transferable machine gun, this FM.30 has the added bonus of having all visible matching numbers including barrel, bolt, charging handle, and trigger group assembly. Marked with a large “L” (Luxembourg) with "FM.30" on top of the receiver. Right side of receiver very clearly marked, "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE". This is the Fabrique Nationale version of Browning Automatic Rifle. Belgian proofs on left side of receiver. Chambered in .30-06, this is an exceptionally popular gun for machine gun enthusiasts in the United States. Original thread protector at muzzle in lieu of flash hider. Refinements based upon feedback about the Browning Automatic Rifle include: easily adjustable gas port nut, improved and easier to deploy and retractable bipod attached to the gas cylinder, a lever controlled ejection port cover which opens automatically when the bolt moves either forward or to the rear, a magazine well cover which folds easier into a recess below the gas cylinder, a more positive and ergonomic magazine release, and a pistol grip. This gun also incorporates a flip-up buttplate and has provision for a monopod at the bottom of the buttstock. 3-position selector, “M” (fast automatic fire) at the forward position, “R” (slow automatic fire) in the center, and “S” (safety) at the rear. 1 original magazine, and 3 U.S. Browning Automatic Rifle (B.A.R.) magazines are included with this gun, which will accept standard B.A.R. magazines. Electronic NFA registry indicates “FN (HERSTAL)” as the manufacturer. The original amnesty registration form is included with this gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent as refinished in a deep lustrous blue with a few slight dings underneath the refinsh. Wood is extremely with some light handling marks and some slight bruises. Bore is extremely fine, shiny, and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Gun mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto-only (fast and slow) machine gun. This gun presents extremely well, and anybody fortunate enough to have shot one of these, or an FN-D, will attest to what a joy they are on the range. One of the most popular and comfortable to shoot of the Browning Automatic Rifle family. No doubt, a discerning collector/shooting enthusiast will snap this specimen up.
