The live portion of this session begins on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Very attractive Colt 1921 Thompson with unmarked Cutts Compensator. Barrel index mark is perfectly aligned and “JHB” inspector’s mark very clear on this gun. This gun retains its original 1921 internal parts and the anchor remains clearly visible on the buttstock. Typical markings on receiver with visible serial numbers matching. Crisp clear lettering and sharp edges throughout. One 30 round Seymour and one original 3rd model “New York. N.Y.” 50 round drum magazine are included with this lot as well as a white cloth, "U.S." marked drum carrier. Electronic NFA registry indicates “THOMPSON” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original blue finish thinning to a gray patina, particularly at the high edges with a blotch of gray patina on the left side upper part of the receiver. There is no pitting, and one can feel no difference in the smoothness of the metal. An expert restorative specialist could work wonders should one desire to pursue this course. Some loss of finish at the stock attachment points and on the buttplate. Wood is extremely fine to near excellent with some slight handling marks. Stick magazine is near excellent as is the drum. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A very handsome Colt Thompson in a desirable configuration. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-05-061.
