This is a registered receiver machine gun which indicates, “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” in the manufacturer’s block and “51” in the model block in the BATF Electronic NFA registry. This alone makes this a noteworthy and very valuable gun. Left side of magazine housing is marked “HK 51 SD” with serial number and proof mark “IB” indicating 1981 manufacture. In only 5-10 more years this gun will become Curio and Relic Eligible. This receiver has a dual magazine release, front and rear sights, and charging handle assembly. The barrel/silencer assembly is pinned in place but could be removed if desired. The end of the silencer tube is threaded but with no end cap and there are no internals until 5 - 1/2” back from the muzzle where there is a solid baffle. This assembly is a second registered item with “FLEMING WILLIAM DBA FLEMING FIREARMS” in the manufacturer’s block and, “51SD” in the BATF Electronic NFA registry. No other parts present. Right side of magazine well marked "Made in Germany HK Inc. Arl Va 22201”. Silencer is marked with Fleming Firearms cursive logo with serial number and added “Collinsville”. PROVENANCE: From the machine gun collection of noted William “Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun” Fleming. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent black hard coat finish on receiver surfaces with the interior of receiver, barrel, and silencer shows evidence of firing and subsequent cleaning. This indicates this was a running machine gun in the past. Bore is shiny and bright. Silencer baffles are dark. THESE ARE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEMS AND REQUIRE BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THEY ARE FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON ATF FORMS 3 OR 4. THEY WILL INCUR TWO SEPARATE $200 NFA TRANSFER FEES IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4’S. JWK 2026-05-24.
