Exceptionally clean and attractive M3 “Grease Gun” as manufactured by Guide Lamp for use during World War II with modern made reproduction screw-on suppressor, as well as original barrel and 6 magazines in green web pouches. Typical “Guide” on left side of magazine housing with crossed cannons arsenal marking. Also typical Guide Lamp markings on underside of trigger guard “B. G. R. -GL- B 301456” and on action housing “G.L. 0153432”. The M3 cocks by the firer opening the ejection port cover, then actuating a lever on the left side of the receiver to withdraw the bolt to the rear. The M3 was a contemporary successor to the Thompson machine gun during WWII as a less costly and more rapidly produced machine gun. Suppressor is marked, "F.S. CO. SERIAL NO GL C153435". Electronic NFA registry indicates "UNKNOWN" as the manufacturer for both the gun and the suppressor. PROVENANCE: From the estate of a very discerning and advanced collector. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is exceptional original smooth gray finish showing only the slightest thinning to a gray patina where the trigger rubs the frame and at the high edges. Magazines are near excellent lustrous blue finish. Standard barrel bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. Suppresser bore also extremely fine with some firing residue. The Grease gun is a very highly sought collectors item for both the WWII and shooting enthusiast. This is an especially attractive piece with the included suppressor. THESE ARE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEMS AND REQUIRE BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THE GUN AND SUPPRESSOR EACH REQUIRE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AND ARE FULLY TRANSFERABLE. GUN WILL TRANSFER AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE JWK 2023-12-70

ADDENDUM: Great news! At the last minute, we received confirmation that the silencer in this lot is original and vintage with the manufacturer's block stating "UNKNOWN" in the NFA registry. Don't miss this opportunity for this incredibly desirable lot.
