“dot” 1944 manufactured MG-34 machine gun with matching visible numbers including bakelite butt, barrel, and bolt. These are not forced-matched parts. This gun (and some others in this auction) came from an exceptionally discerning and forward-thinking collector who acquired fabulous German WW2 machine gun specimens more than 20 years ago. This collector was so forward-thinking that he had a noted machine gun dealer acquire and match (perform work to ensure they work well in this particular gun) three sets of bolts and barrels. Each set is marked very lightly in electro-pencil either, “100”, “200”, or “300” so that the owner know which bolt goes with which barrel. All of these parts are in good serviceable condition, with barrels with fine bores, but apparently were just randomly selected without regard to origin or markings otherwise. This gun is in a condition every advanced German machine gun collector desires. Original Amnesty form is included with this gun which indicates it was acquired and registered by “Proton Military Museum” of Dallas, Pennsylvania in 1968. Nazi proofs throughout this weapon, on receiver and other various places. Electronic NFA registry indicates “GERMAN” in the manufacturer’s block. PROVENANCE: Original Form 4467 (Amnesty) registration document. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original finish exhibiting field use, thinning to a gray and some light brown patina in places. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Buttstock extremely fine to near excellent with handling marks. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Of all the many MG-34 guns this cataloger has encountered over the last 40+ years, only very few have had originally matching barrels bolts. Ask yourself the question about how many you have encountered like this and have the original Amnesty Form 4467 included. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2026-09-116.
