Steyr manufactured German mp-40 machine gun marked "bnz 43" on end cap with numerous Nazi proof marks throughout. Receiver tube, lower assembly, and trigger housing match. Otherwise parts are non-matching. Accessories include three original 32 round Nazi marked magazines. One is 1941 dated and the others 1943 dated. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of gun is near excellent hot blue black refinish coverage over light pitting. Cocking handle safety knob more lustrous while the rest of the gun has a duller finish appearance. Magazines are good to very good with one of them (43 date) having original finish turning gray patina at the high edges. Bakelite and grips have typical light handling marks and remain quite attractive. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is extremely fine shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. This is a fully automatic only machine gun. An MP-40 which would be a good entry level machine gun for the World War II enthusiast to take to the range, and perfect for a Curio and Relic license holder. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2020-05-009
