This HK 21 was remanufactured by Qualified Manufacturing and is so marked on left side of receiver just forward of the stock retention pin holes. Serial number is on top of the receiver with “QM” prefix and model “HK 21”. This gun has a three-position “S, E, F” selector. Special features of this gun include a heavy quick-change barrel. This is a registered receiver machine gun. Electronic NFA registry indicates “ROCK ISLAND ARMORY” as the manufacturer. This was probably selection of the wrong manufacturer when the BATF converted to electronic registry using "drop-down" boxes when assigning manufacturers. This can be requested correction to the BATF. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent matte gray/blue finish upon remanufacture with the barrel blued except for about 4" where it contacts the front socket of the receiver. There is some loss of finish in the feed-way, which provides evidence that this gun has been run. The components are clean and in top condition. Black composite furnishings are extremely fine to near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Bore and bolt near excellent. This is a select fire machine gun of the highest level of performance and quality and no doubt would be a welcome addition to any machine gun collection.
