May 13-15, 2025 Firearms and Militaria
The live portion of this session begins on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
This is a registered receiver M2 carbine machine gun converted from an M1 carbine originally manufactured by Inland Division of General Motors, and so marked on the receiver with an Underwood 2-44 barrel. As so many were, this gun has been retrofitted with adjustable rear peep sight and bayonet lug forward barrel band, round bolt, flip safety, four rivet hand guard. Electronic NFA registry indicates “ROCK ISLAND ARMORY” as the manufacturer. One 15 round magazine is included. The M2 Carbine was fielded at the very end of World War II with most going to the Pacific Theater. After the war, many M1 Carbines were retrofitted and made into M2 carbines by the U.S. government. These guns saw service throughout the Korean and Vietnam War eras and were even supplied to other countries, including Israel, by the United States thereafter. Later still, some were legally converted to machine guns by licensed machine gun manufacturers by installing full-auto parts and registering the receiver. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent arsenal refinish with some loss of finish on the round bolt. Wood stock is an extremely attractive rich brown color and very clean. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. A very nice M2 carbine. A great fun gun to take to the range. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-05-092.
