MP30 submachine gun chambered in 9x23mm Steyr and manufactured by Steyr-Solothurn. The left side of the receiver bears the serial number "5814" and is otherwise devoid of any factory markings. Fire selector switch is marked "E" and "D". Buttplate is stamped "LGKOO/ 31", indicating issue to the Landes Gendarmerie Kommando OberOsterreich (State Gendarmerie Command Upper Austria). Metal components exhibit a blued finish, while some small parts are strawed or nitre blued. 1-piece buttstock stock is comprised of solid wood. All numbers match and include the receiver, receiver cover latch, barrel, bolt, and buttstock. This example is accompanied by a blued bayonet stamped "SIMSON&CO/ SUHL" on the ricasso and "3800" on the side of the pommel, as well as 2 additional 32-round stick magazines. NFA registry lists "STEYR-SOLOTHURN" in the manufacturer block and "MP-34" in the model block. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their lustrous blue finish, exhibiting few minor spots of wear and light thinning that lightly show through to a pleasant grayish brown patina. Buttplate exhibits some oxidation and age-related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks from handling and storage but is otherwise fine. An extremely fine example of an Austrian police unit marked MP30 submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
