A French style doll with inset dark brown glass eyes, open mouth with upper and lower bamboo teeth and the molded & painted hair having wispy brush marks above each ear. The papier mache head is mounted on a cloth body with sewn joints at the hips, knees and shoulders with long wooden forearms with individually carved fingers. She is dressed in a striped silk dress with lace and green velvet trim and flat black leather shoes. Unusually large at 27” (69 centimeters) with some typical paint wear to the head, a few cracks on the shoulder and neck however she is missing a significant piece off the back of her shoulder.
