3,035 1st Models made for the US Cavalry in 1875. This revolver is stamped "US" on butt and inspected "LP" on bottom of barrel. Matching "1986L" stamped on back of cylinder. Features blued finish and walnut grips. CONDITION: Traces of blue still remain but it is basically a silky smooth soft patina. All factory legends are sharp. Most of the screws are a little marred and could be trued up. Grip cartouche no longer visible. Indexes and locks up like a vault. The bore is sharp. A scarce revolver that saw heavy use in the western frontier and has survived in fine, all original condition.
