Manufactured at Worchester circa 1847 to 1865. Fitted with a blued 4" fluted barrel cluster and "ALLEN'S PATENT / 1845" marked bar hammer. Lightly scroll engraved frame and nipple shield. Smooth 2-piece ivory bag shaped grips. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel blue has faded to a dark gray patina with some cleaned oxidation spots. Frame displays has a cleaned silver patina and some cleaned pinprick oxidation throughout. Grips fit a little shy to the frame and display an attractive honey patina. A few small splits present running from the screw escutcheons. Fine mechanics.
