This is a classic pepperbox six shot, double action, percussion pistol with fixed shield, maker stamp on barrel, two piece walnut bag handles. Rotates, indexes and locks-up perfectly. Referred to as a standard or medium sized with conventional trigger. Allen & Wheelock marked with no city. Light engraving on shield. Metal is a soft grey patina. Patent date on hammer. Bores are rough.
