Unmarked throughout in preparation for being retailer marked across the top strap, which this revolver avoided. Given the grip spur and two part barrel, this revolver was likely manufactured by Webley, as a number of firms had the ability to manufacture these monstrous pistols. Serial number 260 found on front face of cylinder pin axle hole, inside of cylinder plate, front of cylinder. One piece walnut grip with checkering throughout, with vacant space near spur. Rotatable lanyard ring. Octagonal barrel with two minute proof marks at 10 o'clock flat. Half moon front sight, notch rear integral with frame. Accompanying this gun are two rounds made out of trimmed and crimped CBC 24 gauge shotgun shells with new lead bullets and should not be considered safe to fire. CONDITION: Very good, especially given the rarity of these revolvers. Frame essentially browned out, barrel retaining a good amount of bluing. Cylinder with some bluing in protected areas. Some nicks and scarring throughout. Trigger guard is rough and was reformed at one point. Wood is excellent, with good checkering and a few minor areas of abrasion. Some pitting to hammer from use. Single action works appropriately when operated by hand, double action needs some attention as hammer needs to be pulled back just a touch before allowing a double action pull. Bore is very good with even patination throughout and well defined rifling with some softness to grooves. EW
